Anyone having issues with the factory infotainment?

Title. Not using carplay, but when I'm listening to music via bluetooth from my phone, I've noticed that none of the album cover art shows on the infotainment screen, any idea what is going on? Car also will not connect to the Toyota Supra Connect app (but the phone is connected to the car via bluetooth)

If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

It’s hard dude. These things are mega finicky. I’ve found a few methods that work for me (not album art). If I’m on Spotify at home, go to my car, it will go to Spotify. So I go to media and select satellite (for example), then go back to communication and select Apple CarPlay so it won’t continually go back to Spotify. Swiping up and removing the Spotify app on my phone doesn’t do it.

That‘s just one trick/example/work around I’ve found for multiple infotainment issues. This is true for any car I’ve owned. Mazda being the best, Ford was the worst - for us at least. But still, I’d wish the car manufacturers would just outsource the entire infotainment systems. They are never easy when you really need something quickly. Give me a lot of buttons any day over multiple screens/menus ?

for any car, sometimes the artwork displays, sometimes not. in comparison, haven't had an issue with the Supra yet. i'd say unpair your device and try again

Connect app is simply bad, works 3/10 times. the purpose is to use it when not near your car, btw

I checked the developer settings in my phone because I remember changing the bluetooth AVRCP version awhile back, I think it was on 1.4 instead of 1.6. Next time I drive the car I will check and see if its any different with the album art.

I can use the supra app to look at the cars location, but it just won't update the fuel level, etc for some reason, last time it pulled an update from the car for that info was last month.
