Digging up this old thread because my previous car was totaled so I'm "building" a new Supra.

My last spec was 2 17in 120lb struts:

And 2 100mm blue springs:

This worked, but had a bit of rattle / excessive force, so I didn't want to blindly order the same spec again.

This time I measured the car and it seems the OEM length is around 18.06, this is measured with the tip of the tape measure on TOP of the bottom ball socket, so this isn't a "middle to middle" measurement:

I've ordered 2 of the longer struts (the only 18.06in was 129lbs, 9lbs stronger than the previous) with 116lb force to see if this will help:

Then I ordered the same 2 springs above, and another posters 90mm red springs, I'll try both and compare:

Any luck finding the right combo?

I've been running these with no m8 washers. Since the washer would cause the trunk to be open enough where it wasn't air tight and it would create a lot of wind noise. It's been working fine. It opens a little aggressively. But I've been debating removing the springs or maybe one of them. So it doesn't crash into anything.
