Awe valve question

I did not put my car in sport mode and disconnect the connector like the instructions stated, my bad!
I am not sure i understand the instructions from AWE when you forget first step
when I plugged in the valve it turned like 1/4 inch then I unplugged it. It was a real tight fit when I placed the AWE plate on it.

recommendations?

if I don’t use the AFE plate and just pug in the exhaust actuator will I get a check engine light?

BimmerLink will allow you to open the valve without having to start the engine. Recommend it.

I did not follow step 1, put car in sport mode then unplug then exhaust valve. So had to have wife start the car and had to hold adapter plate in my hand and cycle between normal/sport.

I got the resonated touring exhaust and it sounds great!
