B58 Engine Shot

Saw a shop post this b58 they took out. Looking at the turbo it looks stock. How does this even happen to get holes in the block?

Any engine can throw a rod if the oil supply to the big end is compromised or the engine is over revved or it's FFSed regularly or the Money shift happens.

There are lots of things that can cause a thrown rod beyond making power or a bad tune. Oil starvation is what causes 99% of them and is usually due to something dumb the owner or shop did.

Money shift 5-2 will do that. I've seen it first hand at a track
Engines don't like to be spun to 12k instantly
