I really was expecting that to be at least a month away! ?

My tips are (not that you need them)…

1) use channel locks to squeeze the breather while pulling it off.
2) there is a tiny part of the air box corner that rubs on the paint on the car strut that I filed off
3) Cut the plastic tab that sticks out on the breather pipe if you struggle getting it back on as it seems to help. As soon as I cut this off it clicked strait in on my next effort. (it is mentioned somewhere in the install instructions)

And..I have a spare one if you end up having a fight with yours.. ?

Oh and take a pic of the inside of your turbo inlet pipe. Interested to see if it is coated with oil.

Thanks, interesting re the airbox corner fowling on the strut tower, have you messaged Dinan about that? Seems a bit sh*t.. The kit from what I've seen looks to be pretty good quality.
I might try get some installation pics.. Oil in the turbo inlet pipe is normal, and nothing to be overly worried about. You can do as I'm doing next and fit a catch can, which should reduce that (and will keep the inlet manifold from being coated in oil etc.)

Interesting, exhausts are definitely a subject I would like a chat on!

What are your thoughts on something like this?

Evening all, for info I’ve fitted this exhaust to my 23 supra and it’s transformed the way the car feels. Easy install and build quality is great. Valve open and you get a lot more pops and bangs over stock and valve closed it’s very manageable without being too annoying. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the summary, does look a good setup and decent value. With that said, I'm definitely not looking for more pops and bangs, less if anything. I just want a deeper and louder sound when on the throttle, not off it.

That deletes the OPF doesn't it? Think that will be my first step.

yeah deletes the OPF and is about half the weight of the stock system. The pops and bangs really aren’t that intrusive. Just enough when you want it and hit the accelerator hard. Normal driving and I think it’d give you what you need. Really does sound so much better than stock. If I can get a sample sorted I’ll get it uploaded so you can hear for yourself.

That would be great, thanks.

How far are you from Stoke on Trent? We're heading down to Alton Towers in a few weeks and could possibly make a detour. Would love to hear it if you could spare 5 minutes.

Problem living in the NE of Scotland is hearing before you buy. Fine when exhaust used to be ÂŁ500 year ago, but now nearly ÂŁ2k it's a different story.

wouldn’t say South Yorkshire is close to stoke but if you detour down or up the M1 junction 37 you wouldn’t be far from me ? and be happy to demo for you ?. Just drop me a PM closer the time if you’re passing

Well, that makes me want that exhaust all the more! ? Cheers for sharing ?

A question to everyone…

I guess with it being titanium that there are lots and lots of welds as bending titanium is a no go?

And I suppose all those welds are tough to do and could be the Achilles heal when using that material? (i.e. cracks etc..)

@S2k as promised

There was a little more oil residue but it dripped out when I removed the seal.. As I said a bit of oil (up to about a tea spoon,) in here is completely normal and nothing to worry about!

On another note, how close is your carbon lid to the strut tower? Is this the bit you mentioned filing down? My box is sits fine but the lid is rather close..

I've put a bit of tape there currently to see if it will actually touch / rub.

Cheers for the photo! Yeah, that is the area that is close to the strut.

Think mine looks about the same:

So, what’s the verdict? What you think? Sound/fit/etc..

and…. What time you planning on getting to the dyno place Sat?

It's a nice bit of kit, fitment and quality of the parts is pretty damn good. I am happy which says something. Sound wise again I'm happy, would have liked a bit more noise but then that in-turn normally results in more heat soak, higher intake temps etc, so I think it's a good mid point between function and noise. Definitely can feel a bit more throttle response, and my butt dyno says it has a bit more torque / ponies. Would highly recommend it to anyone else in the market.

As for Saturday, I was going to aim for about 10:30.
