Bimmercode for Dummies

Noob question (be kind)
My 2023 Supra MT arrived a few days ago! First Toyota and never owned a BWM. I prefer sport mode and want it to start in that mode by default. I see you can program this in Bimmercode, but aside from a phone app (I have a Droid BTW), I don't know anything about it, what OBD to buy or where, and what else it can do that might be beneficial.
Once I get a dongle and connect the app, is it clear how to program the default sports mode?
Do you need a lot of know-how to use?

You can buy an OBDLINK, either the CX model or the MX+ model
I personally have the MX+ model and used it for both bimmercode and bimmerlink.

Finally, if you have any questions about oil, use the search function! You’ll understand after you’ve looked around the forum for two weeks.

Starting to look at the user manual- I assume it is valid for the MT also (I see the last revision was in 2022 before the MT was manufactured)...I know, another noob question

The “MHD Universal WIFI Adapter OBDII Wireless Flash” is a great one that i personally own. Got it from bimmer ECU solutions. Also used it to turn off the the auto start/stop function
