Broken windshield insurance scams

I’ve gone through a few windshields and found this out the hard way. Only use a reputable windshield company. Sounds pretty obvious. However, see the article below. Even if not using your insurance, like I did, some companies will turn around and sue your insurance company if they don’t agree on a set price. A good company is willing to work with your insurance for a set value. I paid a company out of pocket and they still turned around and sued my insurance company for more money.

To prevent this, my insurance company said just call and ask who they use for a set value in my area. I don’t have to file a claim or use them.
