Can I swap head unit from a premium model to a base model?

Has anyone swap the head unit from a premium model to a base model? Want to know if is possible or what do i need.

The head unit itself will need to be coded, but it's possible. I'd be interested to know why exactly you want to do it.

If it's the screen, that's upgradable and easily codable. If it's car play, that's unlockable.

If it's parking sensor & others, that's a lot more coding work, and honestly isn't worth it. I'd just sell and get what you actually want.
