Purchased a used 2021 A91 about 2 months ago. Previous owner had installed a catless DP and an aftermarket exhaust. He removed exhaust before he sold and reinstalled stock. However - he did NOT reinstall the exhaust valve actuator so exhaust valve is open at all times (I also need to drop the heat shield and see where he tucked the actuator lead wiring as it is not visible from the underside of the car. The odd thing is there are NO warning lights or codes about the actuator not in working order????) I am thinking of getting the Borla ATAK catback and am wondering do I "need" to purchase an actuator and turn control of the valve back over to the ECU? I've read some accounts that even in sport mode - the ECU will close the valve to increase back pressure for hp or torque reasons? Any feedback is appeciated....... TIA (EDIT: Funny thing is I was planning on pullng the fuse (as posted in another thread) to keep the valve open LOL but then started reading that may or may not be a good thing).

You don't need the actuator or valve. It won't throw a CEL. No performance issues either. You're good.
Thank you sir!
