Clicking noise on cold start

Hey guys! I've never noticed this noise until a few weeks ago. I get a clicking-type noise on cold starts. Goes away after a few minutes of idling or driving. Coming from engine area on passenger side. 11k miles. No CEL or warnings and runs fine, just this weird noise for a bit.. Any thoughts?

very hard to say but a few thoughts. It sounds like it could be an hydraulic lifter ( or lash adjuster in some cases) that has bled down overnight. Typically these will make this sound until they refill via engine oil pressure and will take 2 or 3 minutes usually depending on how bad the bleed down is. A lifter that has bled down is usually intermittent as well so depending on whether or not the affected lifter has stopped with it's respective valve open or closed will determine the bleed down or not. So if this noise sometimes happens and sometimes not and only after overnight or a longish period of shutdown, say 8 hours plus then it's probably a lifter. If it is it's probably not worth worrying about as the time and effort to identify the faulty one and replace it is pretty onerous. What grade of oil are you running and what OCI's are you using? You could try an oil and filter change and see what happens.
