I recently installed air suspension on my 2022 MK5. Like normal, it left the message on my dashboard, and traction control couldn't be turned off. I watched a video that I will link below on how to code this message out. But from doing so, it left me with one issue. I removed 2vf (adaptive m running gear), and to code it out, it needed to go through 7 different systems. After completion, the message on my dashboard I was previously having was gone, but now I am left with a vehicle message that says: Headlamp vertical aim control malfunction. I've redone the whole process, but it still leaves me with this message, and I'm left in the dark. I only have the coding license for ProTool, but I've heard that if I get the diagnostics license, I can clear the message or recalibrate the headlights to fix this. If anyone has any thoughts on this or ideas on how to fix, please let me know.

okay i tried what you posted. the message i had is now gone but now it says “driving possible:chasis.” which is weird because i can turn traction control off and everything works normally. i have bimmerlink but the codes related to this cannot be cleared with it. i have the car sitting while im at work to hopefully reset everything. but if anyone has any thoughts let me know

I cannot verify this for you but from what I have heard, you have to disconnect the actual module the edc connects to. It’s right behind the panel where the hood opening handle is. Something about it receiving a CAN message and pinging back the other modules. If it can ping back, that’s when the error pops up.

I recently coded mine out and it sounds like you didn't do two things:

1. Uncheck the BDC when doing the coding (not mentioned in instructions but you need to also do this). Should fix headlight error.
2. Once the coding is done, enter VDC specifically and factory code the module to remove errors.

You actually hit the 'factory code' button after you select VDC and then save that change.

I just did this as well. Followed the directions exactly as described in the spreadsheet above. No errors.

i just followed what the Pro Tool tab instructions said to do exactly. Instead of letting it remove things from all 7 systems, to select the certain ones, they say to. the message I was having about the headlamp malfunction is gone now. But now I have a message that says "driving possible: chasis." i am able to go into spot mode and turn traction off, so everything works as it should. here are the codes i scanned with bimmerlink, but it doesn't let me clear them.
