Hi all,

Relatively new owner of a ‘22 3.0 premium and the only performance mod so far is an AMS catted downpipe. That definitely added some pops/bangs on downshifts and butt dyno felt a small improvement in torque (easier to get the tailend out).
Before getting into a piggyback/unlock I’m looking to get through the first oil change to feel more confortable that the powertrain is sound (kept the original downpipe in case I need to swap back).

At the moment I am just looking to liven and deepen up the sound (my last sports car was a V8 w/ flowmasters). If I didn’t have neighbors I’d probably get the AWE track, but it seems like the Magnaflow can get just as loud but maintain the exhaust valve to keep it from being way too loud on cold starts. Also, I am initially going to install without the mufflers, and I like that in case the car becomes too loud I can always add one or both mufflers back into the system.

I have poured through a lot of the exhaust forums here and you all have provided a great deal of knowledge. Wondering, are there other systems outside of the MF/AWE that I should be considering that provide that deeper, throaty exhaust note? Also if MF is the way to go, any recommended sites/dealers that have it in stock?

Thank you everyone

The only way to really judge exhausts is to hear them in person. I'd recommend finding some in your local area so that you can get an idea.

Also for the loudness, I have a magnaflow exhaust with no cat and even with only one muffler on the left side, it's way too quiet for my taste. I have always run it with no mufflers on it. With both mufflers, it basically sounds stock, at least to me.

Also as for the neighbors, It's possible to disable the loud cold start with a tune, but I'm not sure if you want to go that route.

The HKS is marginally louder than stock, but seems to add power from what I've read. It also looks a bit more aggressive than stock. Coupled with the downpipe, I imagine it'll really open up

Excellent exhaust! Many variables, being that it’s modular, u can set it up several different ways, it’s well made, and it has straight through pipes, or straight through
Mufflers, plus the pipe from the cat, there’s two size’s,,your choice.. and it sounds great!

Magnaflow is just awesome, just order it you won't regret it. Such a good system. Sounds amazing. And you have options with mid popes and mufflers with the kit. Love it.

Just installed the AA downpipe and hks exhaust, I love it. Deeper tone, more pops and bangs on decel. Butt dyno said I'm little bit faster.
