I got this code twice in the last few days. Came back today after clearing it using jb4. It has been around 95 degrees outside lately while driving pretty hard. Reading on other B58 forums that it’s aftermarket air intake related. Intake is moving around and tripping out the crankcase breather hoses.

No leaks under the car and can only see a little oil vapor buildup around the breather line and oil cap area.

Hoping someone on here can point me in the right direction.

Service Plan:

Perform visual inspection for leakages and connection points on following components:
- Tank ventilation line on both cylinder banks (after tank vent valve)
- Crankcase ventilation lines between cylinder head covers and discharge points on the clean air sheet
- Oil filler cap including seal
- Visual and function check of the non-return valve in the clean air arch
- Renew the crankcase pressure sensor
No Driving Impact. Did this throw a CEL or are you just scanning codes for funsies? Don't scan codes for fun.

CEL came on last Friday after clearing the code a week ago. Will visually inspect all the points on the list for now and fix any leaks.

I’ve been scanning codes recently due to the drivetrain malfunction error from using jb4 coupled with a new code (10170C throttle valve function clamped briefly). ECU clone is calling my name.

I have the same issue, I'm heavily modified so I'm thinking the extra boost pressure from the pure800 is whats throwing the code. I can't find a leak and have gone over the system several times.

Hate to bring up this old post but did you guys ever get this figured out? I threw a code for the same thing. Only code I have and check engine light is on. Kinda modified as well. Need to get my emissions ASAP!! Thanks for any insight you can give.

I had this code to when I upgraded to pure850. The pure850 doesn’t come with the heater connection so I just coded it out in bm3 - no issues so far ~4k miles.

Thanks for the info. I have the Pure 800. I have been battling this for over a month now. Runs great but the MIL isn’t going to fly for emissions.

You code it out. Have your tuner do it. You can even code it out in the OEM rom if needed. I have done both and passed inspection either way.

Issue I am having is that my ECU was unlocked before I bought my car. Visconti sent it off. Not sure how it can currently be edited unless I send it back in for the MHD code update at Femto. I have no idea wha was used to tune it before. Anyway to tell? I plan on sending it off for the code update but just really need to get this things emissions done.

How do you code it out? Right now I have a half unlocked tuned DME. I need to send it back for the MHD+ code. Is there anything I can do with the current tune on there to code this out?

Tuner has to do it.
Do you happen to know what they used to tune the 2021 DME prior to MHD+ and Bootmod3? Mine is unlocked but they want me to send it back to get the MHD code update.

Maybe Ecutek? You should be able to provide your vin to any of those companies and see if it has been tuned by that platform.
