Custom Center Exit Titanium Exhaust

This might be a dumb question, but here I am... I'm having a "straight pipe" titanium exhaust with a center exit made for my car next month, but not actually straight because it'll be paired with a catted AA downpipe. In my mind, I wanted it open from there to exit, no resonator or muffler. I want the old people running my apartment building to have war flashbacks when I start the car, so I'm not worried about how loud it is, but I also don't want it to sound like total dog shit, ya know? I've Google'd and watched videos and now I want opinions.

I know it's kinda subjective-ish but quality-wise, would using a resonator with the above setup be a good idea? Thanks!

I would go with a resonator at least. These cars seem to drone on the highway with a lot of aftermarket exhausts. Any long distance drive would be punishing.

If in doubt, add a resonator and thank us later. Car will still be loud and sound awesome, but won't find a nice droning frequency to drive you nuts inside the cabin.

add a res, will help tone it out, titanium is already higher pitched and can be raspy.

Listen to MADE’s single exit heritage titanium. Best sounding single exit I have heard and no drone. They added a resonator right after the dp and the “muffler” out back is just a second res. It’s the exhaust I plan on going with.

I had a Ticon titanium resonator on my exhaust for about 3-4 days. It seemed to do nothing, even on highway driving. We cut it off and haven’t looked back. Saved weight and freed up space for the diffuser with no change in sound.

5” down pipe to 4” titanium straight pipe… it’s loud either way.

Thought I’d update with results. Went with a resonator and stoked with the result combined with the AA DP. It’s deeper sounding than I expected and loud as hell but not full retard… medium retard, I’d say. Cold start is rowdy, especially backed up to the cement wall of my underground parking spot ?

Almost as important, it’s center exit now like every sporty car should have. Single titanium pipe, split at the end, and with stainless mesh surround. I like the pipes on 70s and 80s race cars, hence the tips of my metal dongs sticking out a few inches. This is kind of a test run for the carbon bumper version I’ll do in the spring now that I’ve confirmed that this how god intended me drive to the gas station for a 4-pack of Monster.

looks badass and the quality of work seems to be very high as well. You should post some sound clips.

also if you are looking for exhaust hole covers we have them available on oem plus mods. I think it would complete the build.
