Ran the Omega65 on my Supra through 3 phases (stock DI → upgraded DI → PI w/ built trans). Daily driveable in all setups, and always a joy. Logged a 100–200 in 5.0s flat in 36°C / 3000+ DA. I only run one flex fuel map at 34–35 psi. Most of the time I’m just cruising in 8th, but when I need it the power comes on quick and I’ve had zero issues handing out gaps.

I did run into some issues with the quality of a few supplied parts/fittings, but each batch of kits has gotten better in that area. As for the common wastegate complaint, yeah, dialing it in is a pain, but once sorted it works fine (at least in my case). With proper supporting mods and a good tune, the Omega65 (or P900) is more than enough for most people.

I’ve now moved to a Doc Racing PT6870 NG full frame. The idea is to hit the same power I’m at now with less boost, and have headroom for when/if I decide to build the motor. I don’t care much about spool since I drive pretty tame, and for my use case a full frame setup is more efficient and scalable long term.

If I had to do it again, I’d have gone full frame from the start.

How would you say it's changed the driveability? Are you on pump fuel? How much boost is the 800 at peak and approx what rpm does it reach peak?

There is ECT advantages to running slightly larger turbos which is beneficial for lots of laps!

93 Oct, rest of the data should be in the logs.

For me, the most noticable difference is driving in comfort mode and it feeling less responsive. Since posting I've done some adjustments in xhp to make it a bit more responsive when I step on the gas, but it still didn't feel as snappy as the stock turbo was.

I'm planning on getting it retuned in the next couple months. The power is 100% there in the high end, and I slide around a lot when I step on it, but it's really made me appreciate the saying: "382hp that you can fully use is better than 4xx-5xxhp that you can't".

For reference, pre-swap I was on MHD OTS Map 2, also 93. Just w/ DP. Never saw the Traction loss light flip on pre-tune, now, if you step on it, it starts lighting up quite a bit 🤣

Thanks, that has answered by questions. It's all top end. I think I will go for a minor built hybrid. Put on potato tyres and even with traction on with a mild stage 2 custom, it lights up like a christmas tree! ( stock tyres sucked)
