Dealer oil but not the change

Like many of you, I actually enjoy doing my own maintenance. I’ve already done a 1500 mile break in, and intend to do oil and filter changes at 5000 mile intervals.

I was thinking that when it comes time to redeem my two oil changes, just simply requesting the oil and filter and doing it myself. Anyone tried this? If so, what has your experience been like?

I feel like you can do this and just tell the dealer to mark it down as if they did it.
they bill Toyota for it so the only one really “hurting” is you.
