Hi everyone

I've recently installed the DINAN exhaust and thought it'd be great to share my opinions on it.

I installed this exhaust at the shop with a couple of friends. Installation took about two hours, but the bulk of this time was removing the factory exhaust and adjusting the final fit. The factory exhaust was quite heavy, weighing approximately ~65lbs, and seemed to be stuck on the downpipe. After that was removed, the hangers with the bushings and the valve actuator was transferred onto the DINAN piece.

Installing the DINAN exhaust was quick, as it seemed to weigh 10-15lbs less than the factory one. After maneuvering the different pipes, I could only resolve the misalignment of the tips by adding some washers underneath the exhaust hanger brackets. Otherwise, the driver's side tip would've burned my diffuser from contact. I may bring this back into the shop for another adjustment since there is minor contact between the center chassis brace.

Overall build quality is great and the welds are fantastic. My favorite part about this exhaust is how it somewhat replicates a straight-pipe system once the valve is opened. You're able to adjust the exhaust tips to your liking and you can choose between polished or the black ceramic finish. I went with the black finish since it blends in the rest of the diffuser.

I was pleased with the sound quality in normal and sport modes. There is a noticeable deeper tone in the overall sound and the sport mode is quite aggressive and much louder than any of us expected. This is definitely not a quiet system, especially during cold starts. However, normal mode volume is comparable to the factory sound when the Supra is in sport mode.

If anyone is interested in getting one of these for themselves and you have any questions about it, feel free to ask away.

I've made a video comparing the DINAN sound and the stock exhaust. Give it a watch and let me know what you guys think!

You should stop by the burger boss for some good burgers, lol. A meet there actually would be pretty cool. The exhaust sounds nice! Very rowdy! You on stock DP?

Great video!

Have you heard other exhausts systems? I’m wondering how this compares to others

Thanks for the video. Best audio exhaust comparison video I’ve heard.

I installed this exhaust a couple weeks ago myself. For what it's worth, mine aligned just right first try. I was actually surprised I didn't need to make any adjustments. I left all the joints loose as I installed them, and pretty much just tightened them down as-is.

I've heard the HKS Dual Muffler a while back and I'd say that DINAN system is noticeably higher volume when in sport mode. Both systems have a clean sound and I'd be happy with either one. I might be swapping this out for the HKS Super Turbo Muffler since it's a bit more toned down and I like the design of the tips.

I'm still on the stock downpipe, yes.

Burger Boss is great btw

How do the two compare in normal mode and cold start? Similar or is one more quiet? Thanks!

The DINAN cold start is obnoxious. After it mellows out, the idle has a nice low growl with more bass.

I can’t speak for the HKS Super Turbo Muffler’s cold start since I’ve only heard it when it’s warmed up. Maybe somebody else in the forum could let us know.

Hmmm, I'm wondering if you could install an exhaust silencer in the non-valved side to help with the loud startups

what do you mean by non-exhaust side? The valve is closed on cold start so theoretically a silencer like this would only work if placed on the muffler side
