AFAIK, only your music is copied. I've not found a way to also copy playlists, unfortunately. I'm hoping someone has and can provide that detail. As for copying music:

Format a USB drive as a FAT32 volume.
Copy your itunes directory to that USB drive.
Turn on your car but don't start the engine
Insert USB into the socket by the wireless charging pad
Select “Music Collection" from the "Media" menu (or button)
Hit the "Option" button (lower left button by the iDrive controller)
Select "Manage Music Collection"
Select "Restore Music Collection from USB Drive"

That should do it. Will take a bit of time, but your collection should upload just fine.

Cheers buddy, I've just done this and "like you say" found the playlists haven't appeared, now like you am hoping someone has found out how to and will share.

My music collection is in Windows. I have windows playlist files (wpl). I added them to a USB stick. I can play the mp3 songs ok- however , when try to import into the car's internal drive I get an error saying no files found.

Is ITUNES the only recognized format? If I do manage to convert wpl to m3u (with VLC perhaps), will the system ONLY load songs in some playlist? So I have 100 songs, and one playlist with 10 of them, would only those 10 load?

I notice, checking storage, that it looks like there are about 20GB. Is there somewhere we can replace that with a bigger drive?

Also as far as chime sounds, etc, it would be nice if we could replace those with our own sounds!
