Ecutek App - Firmware Not Updating

My ecutek iPhone app was working just fine, but today it said there is a firmware update required for the car. I clicked yes to update and then it said “car is already up to date”. It then starts trying to load my menu and immediately circles back and prompts me with the same firmware update required message again.

I made sure I had the latest app version and updated my phone, but still not working.

Any ideas?

I had it before (having it as well again since this morning indeed).

• This is because they have different versions of the dongle, not all can be updated everytime by the app (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt)

A manual upgrade should do the trick (worked for me last time):

The "standalone EVI updater" is the one you should use & connect the dongle with the cable that is part of the dongle-kit to your PC

Thank you for the info! I was about to do the website download and gave the iPhone app one more shot this morning. The iPhone app worked now but it’s great to know the other method.
