The only thing is, which is open for debate, the car comes equipped with the hardware, but you pay to unlock...
If it becomes like the horrific microtransactions, I'd complain. Hope it doesn't come to that...

Nothing wrong with OTA updates. I'm a bit disappointed but at the same time somewhat happy with unfinished software releases, that companies continually improve... But we're all beta testers with our lives especially in autonomous driving....

I'm so glad Google Maps and others came and wiped the stupid map update fees that I never paid for ...
Alternate Nav apps still offer paid services, but I've yet to find unique selling points in those....

The only thing that you're not entirely owning, in some brands, is the battery itself...

- eps - steering rack
- dampers
- diff

I got info that the brake recall some cars had updates not only brake module but other modules too, so should update steering and diff i guess. Ofc with locking ecu
