I may just buy two of these, weld them on and buy a catted downpipes and call it a day, no need for the expensive cat back portion. These are definitely the ones AWE uses? They look like it, I like the aesthetic as well
yeah that was my plan. Its $200 vs $1500-$2500 and yes they are the same but requires welding to remove stock tips

update:
also keep in mind AWE had 3 inch pipes while stock is 2.5 and these tips are 3 to 5 inch

It's similar style but not the same one as AWE. Also it's a 3inch inlet on these tips, the stock exhaust is not 3 in so these tips won't fit on stock

What is going on in this forum?
It's like a bunch of Pepboys tuners in here.
I have the AA catless DP and BM3 tune, and the exhaust is super loud stock, just wanted to change the exhaust tone a bit with the tips. Was saving the cash for some wheels and stickier tires instead of a catback system which really doesn't add up, 2k+ for 10hp? That can wait.. I guess you can call me a pepboy tuner, I don't see nothing wrong with that :dunno: @ec15

When did exhaust tips change exhaust tones?

But the person that burned the exhaust tips... I've never seen... I don't even know what to say.

Larger diameter tips will change the sound just a tad bit. Did it on my rsx-s a while back. Not sure about burning the exhaust tips tho.. To each is own.

I placed an order for milltik exhaust
Once I received my Titanmotorsports Downpipe and installed it.
I immediately cancelled my milltik and took back my money.
The Downpipe is more than enough, cracks and loud more than anything I would want in 2020 car.
I have extremely loud mk4 and I want to enjoy my mk5 sport/normal button and maintain nice isolation in the cabin ..
I am very happy with how it sounds
I heard many other full exhaust systems and I dont even think they are better sounding than stock exhaust with DP. So to me the mk5 only needs dp and proper looking bigger tips.

Anyway I am now working with a guy on the heritage edition kit, so we are going to cancel this double exhaust and move it to center just like the heritage edition and LFA.

I'll update you guys on how is this going to be

I would say get the full exhaust
It makes the sound better and gives more power!

Sorry, but I haven't seen anything that looks better than the stock tips...

rear side lighter spacers 2.jpg
Its subjective
I didn't like the stock tips at all
