If your unlocked ECU gets a software update, you go back to being locked.

And that's what I'm asking ZRK do you think if you told them not to update at dealership they would listen?? Hopefully I'll never find out.

Who knows. I know another poster mentioned there is OBD port covers/locks, but whos to say a dealer wont flash it out of spite anyways, would not be out of character for dealers these days. This is the main reason I am leaning towards JB4 or JB+ for the immediate future and waiting until the car is a little older before I do an ECU unlock.

pull the pins on the OBD2 port when going to a dealer if you have anxiety over it. Or even easier, pull the OBD2 port and zip tie it far up in the dash and put a dummy OBD2 port in it's place.
