FOB trunk release not working

Just bought a 2023 3.0 premium and I can't figure out why the neither key FOB will open the liftback. The door button works just fine, I replaced both FOB batteries as I was getting a low battery warning but did not fix the issue. Door locks work fine and I searched the forums and did not see this specific issue. Any thoughts?

Side question do none of the Supras come with remote start? Seems like such a basic feature I saw the 3 clicks and hold but doesn't do anything so not sure if they don't have it or another issue with my FOB.

Are you holding the trunk button down? You need to hold it down.

I’ve tried taping, double tapping, holding down and standing really close makes no difference. Thank you for the reply on remote start as well

My fob has never worked to open my trunk the first try. I have to do it twice every damn time.

I've tried everything, both FOBs, changed batteries, changed setting to include door locks, inside the car, near the back they just don't do anything. I guess it's time for a warranty repair.
