Agreed on the last part... disagree on the first part however. This city has always been home to the "fantastic failures" entertainment-wise. At least since the Sinatra & Sammy Davis Jr. days. Most A-list celebrities have a house (or two) here... but they tend to perform here only after their career is on life-support.

U2 is LITERALLY performing there at the sphere. Ufreaking2! And what do we get? Some no name raping other people's songs lol.

I was pretty sure that the FIA has to homologate a race track at least 30 days before the event, I could be confusing that with Moto GP since I’ve followed that since 99. But I was for sure that F1 had the same criteri. Maybe @Dannyvandelft coukd shead some light on that, but anyway, I read that Las Vegas got around this some how…. Guess this is what happens when they cut corners. Of course if I recall this happened at Monaco or Baku Or Azerbaijan before.

I'm sure there's a loophole there for street circuits.

I just hope they hired someone out of state to handle the surfacing... like a random bunch of guys hired out of the home depot parking lot. Because based on how NDOT has handled all of the other roads in Vegas... they're not nearly that qualified.
