As a Ferrari fan for 15+ years I thought I could handle the circus they put on every weekend. Now I need therapy after that official result (don't wanna spoil the fun for others).
If you left Ferrari alone in a room with a big stick they would beat themselves to death! ?

Good race, Ferrari need to get on top of their drivers. Both were disrespectful. Hamilton saying he makes the decisions rather than the team is utter nonsense. Same for Lando, a couple more laps and he might not have finished at all. Should've backed off as soon as the team told him to. Max looked like a boring race in no man's land, but managed to somehow drag that thing to P4. Those points will count if RedBull gets on top of their issues.
Lawson will be out and replaced next race. Has to be.
Based on Ferraris pit wall performance over the last decade, I'd question everything I think! ???

We are checking.
I read that in their voice automatically lololol

wow if true.. BUT if Yuki falls on his face also, this will look really bad on RB in my opinion. Every person in that second seat doesn't do well then you can't build a car. And I don't think that's as black and white as that. Perez laughing his ass off for sure.

It's better for Liam. It's much easier to recover from a couple bad races than an entire season.
If Yuki can't deliver, and Liam does well in the RB, he's immediately cleared of any bad press.

But it does say a few things about Perez, and especially Max. Last year's car was supposedly even harder to drive, and Perez was at least able to get some decent results.

But that Max can steer that thing onto a podium, and almost a win in Australia, shows he's a driving God among men. Insane. We saw what he could do in 2023 with a good car, but I think this is more impressive. During the entire Chinese weekend, he lost ONE point to Norris. In the 4th best car. That's GOAT shit right there.

I strongly suspect the RB has been built to augment Max's driving style at the expense of whoever is in the No.2 seat - would love to know how much of Max's data they share with car 2, and if that's a factor or not too. (Not to underplay Max's ability to consistently perform when he's not suffering from red mist!)
It does feel like they've probably gone a bit too far with it now and ended up with a concept that's a real pain to live with. (Not unusual for RB, or Merc for that matter - both Vettle and Hamilton have described some of their championship winning cars as Divas)

I'd love Yuki to smash this though - I think he's a huge talent.

Yeah I hope he does well.

Yeah I totally believe you’re right. In any of the other driving championships (from MX5 Cup to the pinnacle of F1), there is a top driver far ahead of the pack. Others talk about “that” guy. He can do it all. Like a Globe Trotter ? on wheels. You obviously don’t win races doing crazy ass shit but I’ve heard rumors of Max being able to drive like that.

Again (broken record but it’s made a huge impression on me), we have a driver down here that trains other drivers & one of the theme parks and/or movie set peeps on how to stunt drive. If he had millions of bucks to compete, I bet he’d be way up there. Again, those guys are so few and far in between, the other racers talk differently about them. Love em or hate em, Max’s driving style is mega on the edge and his car is setup appropriately for that.

Back to point, so much respect for all these guys. Especially at these speeds and at this level. Max somehow drives even a F1 car on that fine line
easier. That’s my believe anyway and I’m sticking to it ?

These guys saying the same thing. Unless data shows RB that Lawson can’t drive an oversteer car and is really good in an understeer car, conversely for Yuki can do both, then it makes no sense to do the switch now.

Guess Max thinks Yuki should wait as well.

Yeah, Max is saying the car is the problem, not the driver. Max is just able to drive around the issues. Yuki might do better than Lawson, but the underlying problem still exists.

Red Bull are in full panic mode now.

They said they chose Liam over Yuki because he seemed like the better long term option, and that he needed time to grow, only to cut him after two races on tracks he hasn't really raced on in a car that's very difficult to drive; hopefully he gains confidence back in the Racing Bull, and honestly, I hope he beats the main team to prove to them they were hasty (and lose the attitude).

Also, if Yuki succeeds in the car, they'll probably not fix the car's underlying issues, claiming driver error.

If he flops, they don't really have an option for that second seat, and with the clown show going on, how long before Max bails and they're left with nobody?

I think Max is already going to Aston Martin. Lawrence Stroll has spent Billions on getting the best everything. Designers, facilities, engines, you name it. Only thing missing is the best driver. Newey loves Max, Honda adore Max, He's the best driver on the grid, he wants to do Le Mans and Aston Martin just so happens to have the Valkyrie AMR ready to go, Verstappen's racing team is using Aston Martin cars, it's too much coincidence. RedBull are on a downward slope. All the great personnel has left for other teams.

Yeah, everything points at Aston for 2026. I wonder if Alonso chooses to retire or if Lance chooses to go race WEC cars to open up a seat. I really hope it's Lance choosing to move on...

Idk if Lawrence would want his son to be overshadowed. I have a feeling Max will be staying or going to Merc esp since their recent resurgence
