I think it's time for McLaren to admit Oscar is the driver to back as the #1; he seems to have found that consistency finally.

Also, George Russell taking that malfunctioning Mercedes to 2nd place. If he can keep up his consistency and McLaren keep throwing away points, he might get into WDC contention. Tough for Antonelli getting screwed on strategy; he looks like future WDC material.

And wow, Red Bull absolutely butchered it. Slow car, malfunction in the pits. Max actually saying he's not in contention for the WDC this year because of the car. Seems like it's going to be a story similar to Mercedes of last year, in that 4th place no man's land.
I can see him, (George) doing a Frentzen at Jordon, suddenly 3 races from the end he's in with a real chance!

Short of the car breaking down, I don't think things could get worse for Max. Terrible start, terrible pitstops, terrible brakes, terrible decision to go on the hard tire, and somehow still managed a P6. Norris finishing P3 is again only 8 points behind, so not too terrible.
Piastri was flawless all weekend. Excellent job.
Rookies mostly did great.
Ferrari finally showed up with a good race.
The wife and I were joking when they showed Toto with headset on, that he was calling Jos. (Thick German accent) ā€œNow is the time Jos! I have a place in my heart for Max. Always Jos. Understand?ā€ All jokes aside, youā€˜d think Max will go team shopping if things don’t improve quickly. Just not sure where. Aston Martin looks gawd awful and Mercedes now has two good drivers….

It'll be interesting to see how the Constructor's ends up this year. I'm kind of thinking McLaren winning again, then.... Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull in 4th?

I know folks said Piastri was good, and I agree, but I didn't see him eclipsing Norris quite this soon. Wow on that one.

For a few years now I've hoped Hamilton could win one more, and that possibly the move to Ferrari would do it. Doesn't look like that'll ever happen. 7 wins is a good run though, he'll always be one of the best.

Unless the race 9 flexiwing ban really hurts McLaren, they'll win it easily. Mercedes has a rookie, Ferrari and RedBull are too slow.

I have no problem with Oscar winning the title. I've always thought he was awesome. And now he understands the car, and tires, he's definitely in the hunt.

Idk what it is this season, so far I find it… lackluster.. I was soooo pumped and so far it’s just been… meh… I find myself looking to see where Hadjar and Antonelli are more than just about anyone else. I find myself watching the main F1 commentators now more then the world feed. They don’t go on and on about the drama between Norris and Oscar’s. Same thing happened with Moto GP after Spies, Hayden and Rossi were gone. I had no one left I really cared for. I love Lewis, I despise Ferrari. I lol at the double DQ, but was happy that Lewis got the first sprint win for Ferrari. I do hope he can stand on the top step in red, he isn’t winning another championship. (Also I wonder how he feels seeing Kimi doing so well this year, I know he has to be happy for his old team, but I bet it stings a little to see the Merc running so much better this year)

I think part of why it's been lackluster has been the lack of passing. Only Bahrain had some movement. Australia was bad weather, so overtaking was tough, China just killed tires trying to use them, and Suzuka is too narrow for these cars to pass.
