I wanted to give a quick little update.
The TriPro has been performing just fine without any issues.
I washed the car several times and also the cameras. They did not care.
There is no humidity that got inside or anything like that.

I'm very happy with this solution.

I wish you could have a better way to make the front camera a little more stealthy, like if it was behind the grill. Personally I prefer the it's there but you can't see it type of install. Otherwise, it looks like a nice upgrade.

To quickly get back to this:
I saw in a forum that the front camera can actually be replaced with different ones.
I might give it a try and install a more compact one that has a wider FOV.
If it works out, I will post an update here.

@MK5_Ger I'd be more than happy to help design a mounting solution that attaches to the grille! Im not too well versed in how this camera (or others like the wider FOV you mentioned) mount, but I suppose something reminiscent of a go-pro style mount that locks into the grid of the grille could work quite well.

I will update this thread if I got a good front cam that is smaller than the original one.

In one of the clown horn threads is a comment from me mentioning a part number from BMW to make this plug and play. The cable is meant for a Mini but that's the same.

I had mine installed yesterday. I was going to try and do it myself. Unfortunately, the panels on these cars are not as forgiving as they are on my Jeep. Night and day difference when using your rear view and if you’re worried about parking too close to a curb the bumper camera is perfect.

If you are used to BMW cars, then it's more or less easy.
The panel gaps are indeed very tight.

I don't know if you have any rear spoiler mounted, but as you said, the rear camera give so much more visibility.
The front camera is absolutely worth it to not hit a curb. I wouldn't want to miss it.

It's also smaller and can be mounted in different ways.

This is my first Toyota/BMW. I’m sure it would have been fine, I just didn’t feel comfortable and it’s still pretty warm here in Texas lol. So I was like screw it, if I can’t get a good recommendation on a shop, I’ll suck it up and do it myself.

I have the rear one right above the license plate, I believe like yours but I would have to skim back and check your post again. Haven’t driven at night to see how the glare will be but I doubt it will be that bad. Wolfbox is the way to go for dashcams, they’re not obvious which is nice and helps keep people honest if and when there is an accident.

Here is a quick clip from the Wolfbox G900 TriPro from a drive 2 weeks ago.
The microphone picks up the intake very nicely.


This was likely the last bigger drive before the Supra is put away in winter storage.
