Well after waiting for an extended period of time for oem plus to find another manufacturer... I've given up.

I elected to remove the oem stock tips and I'm having them powder coated in satin black. I expect to have them back in a week or so and will post some photos. I think the satin black will blend better with the black lower rear bumper.
Looking forward to seeing the result. I also canceled my OEMplus order after the insane wait time.

Your never wanted to “spray paint” components that are exposed to high temps like exhaust tips. While the high temp paint will look okay in the beginning, it will never last.

You definitely would want to do it right the first time and save the headache. Get it anodized or powdercoated. Even with powdercoating, I have seen engine components deteriorate over the years
. I have a ton of experience in “painting” stuff myself

fyi, I have used the 2k stuff. It is comparable to the paint shop paints from a gun. I painted my civic’s engine bay with it. It held up for a long time. It didn’t use it with high temp stuff
 Good luck with that

Deserving's got nothing to do with it it's engineering. I'm betting you didn't use 2K paint back in the 80's on your Civic. More likely rattle can engine enamel. You need to open your mind to proven alternatives. You can get a superior quality of finish and just as good durability in this application using 2K as you can powder coating.
Here's the quality of finish you can get with Matt black 2K, and it's a durable as any powder coat and heat tolerant to 190deg C.

Unfortunately we are still trying to resolve the production problems that caused us to stop making them, since we have worked with 3 different factories, but we haven’t given up on the project yet.

Well I must say I'm elated with the end result...
the powder coated satin black oem tips turned out fantastic.

A nice muted blend and clean look against the factory black lower rear satin bumper trim.
