Title says all

I love the look of the half roll bar but I am also wonder can you actually feel that the chassis is stiffer.

Another thing is I am currently still on OEM seat. I am currently probably not going to get welded(I know this is stronger), full cage, bucket seat or hans soon.

Any input related to roll bar are welcomed!

If you’re looking for measurable differences, a roll bar by itself isn’t it. You’re adding mass to the car with no benefit.

That said, if you’re tracking the car do yourself a favor and just invest in the whole system up front. Roll/ harness bar, Harness, HANS, Seat.

I’m still awaiting for the RSR roll bar with the rear strut.

As far as stiffness goes, it should help, but most likely novice drivers like us won’t be able to either see the difference or take advantage of it in terms of lap time. Only Experienced PRO people can do that sort of thing.

Regarding safety, I think (this is my personal opinion and there are a variety of them) that getting a roll bar, bucket seats, 6 point harness and Hans is the way to go.

I did check RSR in Terms of adherence to safety Regs and even though is a bolt-in set, it should be able to pass NASA spec.

Once I get my Rollbar shipped I will mount the bucket seats and harnesses and be sure to document the experience on my build thread.

One warning tho: RSR does these rollbars in batches. It will be months before they will have them available for the Supra.

Not a Corvette.
RSR uses rivnuts in crucial places and ONE SINGLE bolt in the rear down bars. Which does not pass any class rules. It's a show car bar at best.

CMS isn't triangulated correctly and is basically a mouse trap. Just look at the photo of it below... that thing ain't going to do any good in a rollover.

What Kyle said above are much better options.

How long have you been waiting? I'm a year in at this point with no fulfillment in sight

I live about 30 minutes from them and recently had their roll bar installed for free (promo for having such a long queue/batch time for locals). I hung out in their shop for a bit and they're legit busy all day manufacturing these things.

Tip; give them a call and let them know you'd like to be notified if any Supra guys cancel on their cage. Whether it's a change of heart, money issues, or whatever the case, there's bound to be a few people who back out of their order (considering their batch sizes). My estimate was 3-6 months, they called me to inform me someone canceled and if I'd want to take their spot; I had my cage installed in my car 5 weeks after my initial deposit.

A year? Man, that doesn't sound right. Who's your sales liaison? You should probably call the shop and ask for the manager. Shouldn't take longer than 6 months.

I paid for it about a month ago because I was told they had it inThe shop. It is supposed to be getting painted and should have shipped either last week or will ship this week.
