Hi guys just a quick question. Is anyone running the HKS HiperMax Coilovers? I’m eyeing on these and the spring adjustment at the moment for summer of 23. I want to lower my A91 CF this year. For those that has it how’s the ride feel and the stiffness?

I would recommend looking at their newest Hipermax S (their most comfortable street setup, maybe one of the most comfortable coilovers on the market - 3 year/40k mile warranty) or the Hipermax R (their balanced street/track setup - 2 year/25k mile warranty).

The Hipermax S replaces the Hipermax Max IV GT (specifically the 20 Spec version). Someone on the forum installed them and liked the ride quality.

The Hipermax R replaces the Hipermax Max IV SP.

Since you posted the Max IV SP DRAG setup, they haven't replaced the Drag model yet, so I would get that only if you were looking at a drag-specific setup.

Looking at the new technology and reviews on other platforms, HKS R&D department has really made some great improvements to some already top-notch coilovers. Comparable or possibly even better than what KW, Ohlins, etc have out for our platform currently.

I'm currently running their Hipermax Touring height adjustable springs, but if I were upgrading to full coilovers, the Hipermax S would be my own best choice for my street build versus everything else on the market.

I see. Most likely I'm not going to use the HKS Drag Coilovers for my Supra lol. My goal is just to lower it with full Coilovers, but I've always been an HKS guy myself. What I'm looking for are coilovers for my Supra. These were the only coilovers I saw that "Speed Industry" were selling and I though these were the only coilovers that HKS made for the A90 Supra. I know that they released the ride height adjustment Hipermax, but I wanted the coilovers then the spring adjustable itself. By the way my guy is running the same set up as you with the Hipermax adjustable springs. How do you like it? I did thought about buying those too because the price is good for lowering the car and plus it is also HKS. One thing about HKS is that it is already preadjust by HKS factory and they know what how the set up should be. I haven't seen the full Coilovers Hipermax S and the R yet, but has HKS released them this year already? I would go for KW, but they're quite spendy. I'm also eyeing the D2 performance full coilovers as well. I'm from Minnesota. It is still the cold and winter season here so I got time to buy and install before I take out my Supra for this Spring...

I personally really like the HKS Touring height adjustable springs and I felt that it was enough for my needs as a daily driver, plus it lets me keep the EDC electronic damping. I had the shop set it higher than the preset height so I wouldn't have to worry about scraping: they come set to about a 1" drop, I had it set to about a .75" drop. However, I did also change my tires at the same time from the factory Michelin PSS to the Continental DWS 06 Plus, which have a much smoother ride themselves (also good for all-year driving here in Texas, and maybe helps you in the Spring/Fall in Minnesota). So that may make my comments on ride quality biased, but I really love the ride.

I'm an HKS nut too, and I think they make a very high quality product. D2 coilovers are not in the same league as these or KW's IMO. I really do think the Hipermax S and Hipermax R are the best options for street driving on the market. If you don't intend to track it or constantly test the Supra's limits, I think the Hipermax S would be a great and very comfortable choice for a daily driver. Between the $800 HKS touring springs and the $2900 HKS Hipermax S coils, the $1600 KW V1's are decent but I think they are too much of a compromise where you don't really get the benefits of full coilovers nor the simplicity of springs.

I got to check it out thank you ?
Might be worth to buy it state side , that way you don't have to deal with international shipping, customs duties and taxes.

Let us know and we can quote you out.

Great set up and thanks for posting your experience. Helped me pull the trigger on the HKS. I’m in TX as well. What area are you in? Are those 20” wheels?
