For the Supra, 4 typical track days, and I'll add on 2 more for laps turned during OneLap for an estimate of 6. I don't really count LeMons race weekends because that's in my Mustang, but in a single race weekend, I turn more laps combined than I do in track days..

Vir is 3 hours from me. Was invited to the drivers club there. They only have member day during the week. Typically like a wed-Thurs Was too far and not enough days

We have single day members days. Friday, sat’s, and Sundays.

For Sebring an individual membership is $16,500 annually & no initiation fee. You get about 25 track days, mostly on Wednesdays. Putting it at $660 per day. Because that track is always booked, it ain’t cheap. So it’s not as bad as it sounds. Homestead is likely more flexible with the dates and at $375 per day, definitely doesn’t sound too bad. Especially with you living so close!

Once you try some other clubs like Chin, HOD, FARA (and others), you’ll find instructors you like and can request the same ones. That’ll make a HUGE difference!! Next time with NASA I can ask my buddy Carlos (in the BMW video I posted) to ride with you. Those cars are very similar to ours and he knows our Supras well. Great guy, coach & instructor. It won’t take you long to get more comfortable passing anywhere on track and solo qualified. Then I’d look at possibly doing the club stuff.

But if you do that, you’ll get in for sure. The more advanced groups fill up later. Also try PCA. Amy that runs our region is cool as ? and a good friend. She has some fantastic instructors that I know as well. You don’t have to have a Porsche to drive with them.

Shoot me a message if you’re serious about this upcoming NASA event in January. There might be room to squeeze you in. And any of the FARA HPDE Academy dates below, I can get you in for sure. You’re not that scary driver that doesn’t listen or puts an instructor‘s life in danger. Thus an easy sell.

Made this list of events in Sebring and Homestead for 2025. Will work through each date bf see if I have conflicts (vacation away and conferences), wife will have that info, then will text you on when I can be there. I’m looking into 6-8 events through the year??? Not sure.

Great list! You don’t need to have a Porsche to drive in PCA. Actually my 1st track day way back when, was with them, in a Mazda RX8 ? They are less aggressive, non competitive, mega safe & thorough instruction. I’d drive with them again!
