HVAC Issue, Driver Vent Temp feels off

@Evolution didn't work for me unfortunately. But maybe i did something wrong? I went into bimmercode, hit supra, went into ac module, turned off "AC Recirculation Memory", hit code, the defroster flashed a couple times and I waited for 3 minutes after the popup on bimmercode said to wait a couple of minutes after turning on the car for the calibration to finish but i never got another flash from the defroster or anything else. Turned back on the memory and waiting 3 mins again and still didn't work. What did you turn off?

I turned off the same thing. Keep in mind, mine started working as it should after I let the car sit for a few days, not right after I flashed it. I think all the modules needed to go to sleep first. I would imagine unplugging the battery for a few minutes might do the trick.

Also keep in mind, I have only tested it 3 times now. But even at that, it would freak out every time before this.

I’ve had the issue for 2 years now. I guess I should try the bimmercode option. I suggest to get some probs to see the real temps. I have 55 on drivers and 132 in passenger.

Update after drive #4..... it freaked out again after about 20 min of driving. But all I did was turn the system off for a minute then back on and it was fine. My ISTA cable will be here tomorrow so I will try the reset/learn procedure and see if that does it.

Finally had a chance to run ISTA on it. We got issues…. Acted up on me again today. Going to try the test again when it’s warmer out to see if that has anything to do with it. Probably run the heater for a bit too to make sure everything is nice is warm.

Newish owner of a 2020 with the same issue. I did some internet research and as others have mentioned, it is a more common issue with late 2010s BMW models that share the heater unit and actuator system. Not clear if a full replacement includes a long-term fix (if it’s just the same part that broke the first time). Mechanical breaks have only a solution that involves removing the entire dash and then using a stronger 3D part. Lame.

Well it seems that it's my turn for the A/C blowing hot air from the driver's side vents.
I have an appointment next week at a different dealership from which I bought the car from because the original dealerships service dept. are idiots and don't want to play nice.
Im covered under the 10yr/100k mile warranty so let's see what happens.
I just hope they don't screw up my start/stop off programming. ??

I had the same issue, I did a reset on the driver profile and the vents started working again. Seems like a software issue. I Hope this helps anyone that having the same issue.

So here is the latest update on my '21 from Sun Toyota.
They're telling me it's a defective temperature door solenoid and they're waiting on the OK from the extended warranty company(Fidelity) to ok the repair.
My engineering degree Son tells me they may need to remove the entire dash to replace the solenoid.
Oh boy.....
My $3200 10yr/100k mile warranty is starting to pay off. Phew! ?

That is my fear as I will be doing this myself.... I am just glad I dont drive the car much so I can put it off as long as needed.

Right? My other fear is if the dash needs to be removed, am I gonna hear rattlesnakes from the front dash while driving after the reinstall?

If Toyota is doing it, that is a guaranteed yes.

Im gonna leave the glass 1/2 full that this dealership can do it right. Sun Toyota is gigantic and they have a "BMW trained Supra Tech" there 6 days a week.
