Installed some goodies over the weekend. Replaced the stock front and rear reflectors with IND paint matched ones, some Future Classic wheel spacers, Future Classic titanium wheel stud kit, and 3D Design Japan carbon shift paddle set.
The painted reflectors are a super subtle difference especially on a bright red car, definitely cleans up the look though.
The Future Classic wheel spacers provided a huge aesthetic improvement. We did 12mm on the front and 15mm in the rear, 80mm titanium studs. Really looking forward to lowering this thing a bit.
The 3D Design shift paddles feel great. Much more surface area over the tiny stock paddles, solid shift feel. Accent colors on the carbon set are available in silver or red, decided with red to bring a bit of the exterior color inside.
Thanks, it's coming along. It can be hard to tell from pictures, but yes,15mm in the back puts the edge of the wheel just about even with the top of the fender arch.Car looks amazing. I'm planning to go 13mm spacers on the rear (i have 13mm in front). Do you think 15mm spacers is perfect flush with the fender? Thanks in advance
Guess I may go with 15mm. Thanks for the quick reply. Thanks, it's coming along. It can be hard to tell from pictures, but yes,15mm in the back puts the edge of the wheel just about even with the top of the fender arch.
Yes, we did swap in a Z4 steering wheel, unfortunately the mounting plate design for the airbags are different. So while the steering wheel does work, you'd also need the BMW branded airbag.Any update on the Z4 steering wheel project?
thanks for the update! Very interesting, and grateful for the time you put into this. Do you happen to know if the BMW airbag and the Z4 wheel buttons are all plug and play, or is any coding needed for the Supra to recognize the new parts.Yes, we did swap in a Z4 steering wheel, unfortunately the mounting plate design for the airbags are different. With that said, users could attempt to cover the BMW Roundel with a Toyota wheel center cap emblem or customize in another way. At this time, we don't have plans to sell a retrofit kit with an altered airbag.
Some small, but significant updates:
A strange fatal flaw has become obvious to us now that the warmer seasons have finally showed here in Chicago: it's not very enjoyable to drive the car with the windows down. AMS has created this incredibly useful anti-buffeting kit in gloss or matte carbon to help defeat the unbearable wind noise and helps make windows-down cruising as pleasurable as it should be.
We also added the IND matte black exhaust tips. The OEM silver ones stuck out like a sore thumb on an otherwise stealthy rear. We were really impressed by how well they coordinate with the OEM rear diffuser section and it's always nice when the install only takes a handful of minutes between the two new mods!
PM Incoming. Will you PM me a price for these? Would love to get mine coated black or order a pair
thanks!
Yep, the 3D Design Rear Spoiler and Black Exhaust Tips are available at our web store.what rear lip spoiler is that? also, can you pm me about the black exhaust tips?
re: lip spoiler...nm...i found it on your website.
The tips are a press-fit with retaining tabs. You should be able to remove the factory tips with a rubber mallet and some force. If you can't get the top to release, use a long extension with a blunt or padded tip to the back of the tip and give it a couple hits to loosen.how hard is it to remove replace the tip? Does the exhaust have to be dropped down? Any special tools?
