Hey guys I just installed my titan catless downpipe yesterday and it sounds great !
I got a check engine light after about 30 miles which was expected but I was told by a few tuners I can run it with the light on without damage.

my questions are :

Did your catless downpipe make your turbo a bit louder ?

Also do you notice exhaust fume smell at stop lights when the windows are down ?

thanks in advance

Whole point of cat is to trap and burn the unburned hydrocarbons, NOx, CO and etc. Now since you've removed that fumes totally normal.
Not an expert view here, but as you've removed a restriction and as you're making more power or less losses, I'd say it's totally possible for turbo sound. Not sure if the boost increases.

Totally normal. You have removed your biggest emission reducer by removing the factory catalytic converters to install the downpipe.

They make high flow catted downpipes. You won’t get the same increase in HP, but you will get a good bit more HP than the factory setup and you won’t have the fumes to deal with. You also won’t have to deal with the CEL with some of these.

Turbo sounds is better yes! Fumes not so much. Make sure u slipped it into the exhaust enough so it's not leaking at the clamp. And tune it!!! U will notice a lot more gains!!!

So you have a catless downpipe and didn't notice much change in exhaust fumes at idle with the windows down?

i have the same one and no not really. I mean it's possible since we dont have a cat but I havent noticed but I'm tuned. So wont be running as rich as you. I would still double check. so easy to leak at that spot because the way its designed.

Its sounds normal to me. Reading that others are having the same thing happen with catless. I havent had an issue yet. But also may be used to exhaust smell. .from the c12 fuel in the nova and the subaru without cats

You're smelling the smell in the car? While driving? Parked?

I would make sure you dont have a leak at the downpipe. As for the CEL, it's for the cat removal. Having the light wont hurt the car

Why are you going to Gintani to tune this car?

Yes catless downpipe will make your turbo louder

Yes it normal to smell fumes if car is parked and windows are down. If you still smell it with windows up, then you have a leak.

A catted downpipe will fix this issue

Has anyone done a dyno comparison between a high flow cat downpipe vs race downpipe on a stock tune? Then with a "tuned" car? Curious about the difference in power between the 4 options;
