Talking with a dealer for this Supra that is expected to hit the dealership in Oct/Nov and they are claiming all installed packages and accessories are installed at the factory and cannot be optioned off the spec sheet. Can anyone confirm if this is true? I really don't feel like paying an extra $1200ish on overpriced accessories that I don't want... And with no driver assist package considering I should continue waiting.

TLDR: If it's on that sheet then yes it's too late to remove. The strut brace definitely can't be removed. The other stuff might have been avoided if you caught them right as they got allocation and they didn't add them onto the allocation but it is just another thing where dealership is trying to get a little extra out of people.

It's a moot point to me though because I'd skip any car without driver assist.

Here in Canada we get no options. Ordered a 2024 (still waiting for it arrive) and can only get premium package with drivers assistance.

I’d definitely shop around in today’s market. Dealers are coming back down to earth. MSRP and the set dealer fee (it’s the same for all their cars) should be the maximum price to pay. No junk fees. Some dealer are discounting even further off MSRP. You don’t need to see it in person.

Use the Toyota website zip code search. When you find at least 3 of the one you want, contact each dealer directly. Ask them how much they are willing to come down from MSRP. Their websites usually have “special internet price” or something similar. Be nice & honest. They should do the same. Let them know what you’re willing to pay (never talk about monthly payment amount ?). If they want over MSRP, let them know you have a few other dealers to call and don’t want to waste either of your guys time.

You’ll know right away when you have a good dealer that wants your money and to sell that car.
