Do you recall if the mirrors were mounted on the doors like the 86 or closer to the window like with most BMWs?

Just my opinion, but super sharp, busy, and crazy lines tend to not age very well.

Do you recall if the mirrors were mounted on the doors like the 86 or closer to the window like with most BMWs?
Bummer, but nothing aftermarket parts can't fix.

I should have clarified that they were of that style versus being identical, but I guess they could be.

It has to be similar styling. I would find it very odd if they used 3 series mirrors for the production car.

I seriously doubt Toyota would used mirrors from the F30. It isn't uncommon for test cars to be fitted with parts from the part bin. The earlier LFA prototype were sported with MK4 mirrors.
