Soo I’ve had the jb4 for about a week or so. It’s been a problem after another first only the boost gauge was working contacted burger motorsports they helped me with that. I ran map 2 for a lil then started noticing my idles is even lower it used to be 750s and now its 650s. Performance was down as well. When I scanned the codes I got

121001 TMAP sensor, short circuit B+

I looked around on the internet looking for answers. Found out it might be a loose sensor. So I checked all the jb4 connections and the air intake sensor as those are the only sensors I touched. I noticed my intake was loose as well as the air intake sensor. So I tightened it up. Air intake sensor moves around a bit but nothing unusual I guess. Started my car up this morning still the performance is down and idk what to do the TMAP sensor is not coming on anymore as I read and deleted the codes before. Any idea what’s going on?

Before I tuned my Golf R, I had a JB4 on it, and the unit I initially received was defective. BMS was good about getting me a replacement, and the second one worked as advertised. If you checked the cables and they're solid, I'd press BMS to replace the unit.

Did it throw a CEL? none of those are limp codes.

After a thorough investigations of all the sensors and a bunch of other stuff. It turns out it was just the intake clamps that were loose. I pretty much checked every mod I did on the car. I thought I had a downpipe leak, but the turbo gets louder on map 2 and a bit less burbles also shifting sounds weird, but turns out its normal. Everything is functioning normally now. However I did get 2 codes that I'm not sure what they mean. I got the usual catless downpipe code that's normal, but I got 108B0A / 20A22E dont know what these codes mean. I contacted BMS they gave me an explanation for one.

20A22E:
Coolant pump in low-temperature
coolant circuit: locking detected,
switch off

I dont know what it means or what it does. Other than those 2 codes everything seems normal.

Those JB4’s are solid performers. I’ve never had an issue with any of mine on various cars. The one on my Supra works fine too.

Intake clamps aren't going to do anything. You don't even need an intake at all on these cars. Nor is that temp probe that sits in there interesting.

Did that throw a CEL or are you just scanning code for fun? They look like faults.

I’m not sure if it threw a CEL, because I have a catless dp and it always has a CEL on so I’m not sure. I was just scanning for code’s because I had the TMAP sensor code come up. I was trying to get it again, but it didn’t so just to make sure everything is fine I contacted BMS about the other 2 codes make sure it’s nothing and then they gave the explanation to one code which I mentioned above. Everything went back to normal. Idk if I did anything wrong or right. Maybe the connections were not connected right or something was wrong I’m not sure. However everything is fine now. I just want to know if these codes are nothing to worry about or I need to do something about them.
