Reviews on running Kumho V730 275/35/18 on 18x11 Apex SM-10? I’m thinking to get to RE71RS maybe next year to avoid masking my mistakes as I work on being smoother.
Although wet performance for RE71RS is better.

I’d like to be able to drive to the track if it’s raining and maybe run (not too hard) in a wet session as I’ve had many of those.

Updated my response to just answer your damn question & what Bob said:

They are fine.

Practice on a wet track as much as you can, when those opportunities arise. Then you won’t care (unless it’s a monsoon). Most track peeps will sit out on the sidelines when it rains or damp. That’s the best time to go = free skid pad. I drive back and forth to the track and in town 6 months (track season) out of the year on them. No worries.

You’ll get mega comfortable/ confident the more you practice. Go slower, stay off line, look ahead for any standing water, wheel straight & never turn or accelerate in it. You‘ll feel when the grip comes back. She’ll grab on either a dry patch or when you slow down. Only two ways.

RE71-RS are amazing on track in the wet!

I’ve got 285s on 11.5” wheels and looking forward to seeing how they do!
