Greetings,

First time poster, and novice when it comes to these technical things, so please correct me if I'm doing anything wrong.

My car is currently in the shop for repairs, with a single part preventing it's driveability currently on "national backorder" with no ETA. It's the left rear lower control arm, visibly bent and causing the tire to pull to the left. Looking up the part number 48630WAA02 says the part is discontinued and I can't find anywhere that has it for sale.

My question is if anybody can help me find this part, or advise me on an aftermarket alternative, or something, to help me get my car back!

For example, apparently the 2019+ BMW Z4 part equivalent, number 31106888153, has the exact same style and fitment, so I've been trying to look into that.

Thank you!

I would try multiple sites. If one is out, many others will have it and ship to you. When you get time, start calling around. Many places won’t take the time to do this. So you do it yourself. Use the zip code search to locate different dealers.

Also there are many upgrades available if you want to make them a bit beefier 🥩 :

Josh at Meraki is also very helpful. You can find him in the vendor section of the forum. He helped me find some hard to locate brake pads.

Thank you for the suggestions! However, I called every Servco Toyota dealer parts department in my state of Hawaii and each one (there's not a lot of em) confirms that none of them have it in stock, nor are able to order it. On all Toyota parts sites that a Google search comes up with from the west coast to east coast, and even up in Canada, it says the right side is available, but the left side is strangely discontinued?

eBay doesn't seem to have any. In addition, those sites nor the usual aftermarket parts sites usually reccomended on this forum don't seem to have solutions for the rear lower control arms. The closest it gets to it are the front ones.

That's actually the front lower control arm in the front of the car. They call it "rear" because it's the rear most arm in the front arm bundle.

Looks like you have an old part number

Drivers side:
Toyota - 48630WAA01
BMW - 31106888153

Passenger side:
Toyota - 48610WAA01
BMW - 31106888154

BMW parts are the same thing.
