GM actually does it a bit differently with say the Corvettes. On something like the C6 Z06 with the hand built LS7 engine, the car did not go on rollers. Instead, they hooked the engine up to a machine that spun it over so that they could verify oil psi, thats it. Same thing goes with all the crate engines GM sells.yeah. 30 minutes is egregious. When the GM plant was open in my old home rip, it was something like 1-500 cars were ‘drive tested.’ But nothing that would constitute engine break-in.
