Nothing was changed on the 22 as far as we know so it's likely to have the same issue. If they knew the solution they'd already be fixing it on some 21's but that isn't the case. I bought a new 21 because it's what's available. In all reality the year on the supra is just a number. Worry about mileage, options, colors before year.
Ha yeah right. They will laugh at you for thinking your 4 year old supra with low miles is worth more than a 2 year old one during regular times

I'd personally take the 4 year old car with low miles over the 2 year old one with more miles. But to each their own. Nothing has changed, don't convince yourself a 22 is any better lol.

I say go for a 22, no difference except they MIGHT have fixed the oil burning issue, I have a 21 that was built in may this year and I have no oil consumption issues, just hit 6000 miles

well, 2021+ engine is more common. yes, currently tuning 21+ is rather expensive, but B58B30O1 will surely get more continued support as it's used across more BMW platforms, if you care for that... same for aftermarket parts...
Also, will you sell it, how much do you care about depreciation?
Otherwise, 2020 normally as they're readily tunable . BUT, Carvana has almost all 2020's at 56-57K and 2021's at 59K right now in this bubble.

Im switching from my CTR (@Jims_CTR) to a Supra as well. I’m in MD but recently got a deal on a 2022 3.0premium in my 1st color choice absolute white zero for MSRP! But had to order out in NJ which isn’t too bad. Vehicle is in transit now hopefully maybe mid/late Dec or early Jan is when the Supra arrives

I’m in the market for one as well and have been considering the same dilemma.

Lightly used ‘21s don’t seem worth it price wise.

I gave up my Android and moved to Apple just for this car. Like others have said CarPlay is flawless. It was a learning curve for me to go back to iPhone after several years of Android, but the phone is great and works perfectly in the Supra so I'm happy.
