I forgot how I did it, but I scratched the paint under the trunk lid where you pull the trunk up. It isn't gonna rust is it? Or spread and crack more...? Is it fixable under warranty?

How would you warranty that? It's not a defect.

I don't think it's metal, some kind of reinforced compound plastic iirc.

For the record, my phantom had this ....but worse. I brought it to the dealer and they agreed it was a warranty issue and repainted the entire trunk for free. I've only ever heard of it with the phantom paint, to be honest, but nothing to lost in trying.

Definitely will take it to dealer if the touch up paint fails.

Seems like that trunk lip/edge is a good candidate for some PPF. Since there is no proper spot for lifting the trunk lid, you just have to stab your fingers in there to open it.

Wouldn't they just touch up the paint like I would?
If it's untouched, they might agree that it's a warranty issue. If you touch-up before bringing it to them they might use that as a way to refuse warranty fix.

It's best you take it to them before doing any repairs yourself. If they don't want to cover anything, then just do it yourself

I would also take to dealer first, and then if they can't have it touched up or fixed, then you can DIY. I had great success at my initial dealership with them being happy to do stuff like this free of charge. Worth a shot, worst they can say is no.
