I recently had my first track day (ever) and our driving instructors mentioned that we shouldn't apply the emergency brake and/oror refrain from using brakes after a session. My question is: how much time do you veterans typically allow for the rotors to cool down before I can park the car?

once you come in after the session, you could leave automatic gear at "P" position and leave it. No Emergency brake though..

If you have to put the car /w emergency brake on, I'd wait 10~ 20 minutes at least depends on ambient temperature. But I really fail to see why would anyone need to since most of track side parking lots are flat.
