Hi everyone! This is my first post here, and I’m hoping to get some opinions from those with more experience diagnosing these cars.

I have a 2023 GR Supra MK5 3.0, and this all started immediately after I had my windshield replaced due to a rock chip. Ever since then, I’ve been experiencing a few strange issues.

I did some searching first and found a few threads on KAFAS faults and door lock issues, but I couldn’t find one that matched this exact combination of symptoms, fault codes, and the timing following the windshield replacement.

While driving, the doors will randomly cycle between locked and unlocked, and I intermittently get a “Passenger door open” warning even though the door is fully closed.

Separately, I receive a “Driving Assistance Support Reduced” warning, but only at night while driving.

Toyota pulled the following fault codes:
  • 804164: Front passenger door contact, line disconnection or faulty
  • 804135: Front passenger door central locking switch, line fault or faulty
  • E12C1A: Central locking system and lid status signal invalid
  • C95510: Central locking system and lid status message fault
  • 800ABF: KAFAS camera, field of vision impaired for a short time
  • Plus a few alarm-related codes
The dealer believes my aftermarket door releases are the cause. For context, I have the Triple Seven Motorsports Door Releases in black installed (photo attached). They’ve been on the car for quite some time without any issues, so I’m having a hard time understanding why they would suddenly become the cause immediately after the windshield replacement.

I’ve attached screenshots of Toyota’s diagnostic report. I just want to fix the issue.

Has anyone experienced something similar or seen these fault codes before? Do the codes point you in a different direction? Does this sound more like a passenger door latch or wiring issue, or could the windshield replacement somehow be related? Also, is there anything else I should be asking Toyota to inspect or test?. The only solution they have provided is to go back to the OEM door releases. But I’m not convinced that’s the issue.

Thanks in advance! I really appreciate any advice or insights you can share.
