I have kind of been wanting to buy a 2024 MT Supra, but I think I must be losing my mind.

I have a 2021 M2 Competition that is fully paid off with only 19K miles and full Xpel PPF.

Please convince to either keep my car or get rid of it for a Supra. Hell, I've never even driven a new Supra.

Better looking M2 than current gen at least, but sort of pedestrian looking to the Supra. For looks I would go Supra. I am sure the m2 is better on track. Which engine is in it? The B58 is just too much fun for the street

Keep the M2 Comp - fix the crankshaft or whatever issue they have - and enjoy it.

Its a true M car and a back seat if needed, and its a looker!

Supra weighs like 300lbs less though....

the m2 comp looks so good lol its more of a lateral move for you if you decide to get the supra
Agreed. If I had a paid off M2 I would be happy with it and keep it, and if I had a paid off Supra I would do the same. Don't think the grass is greener on either side of this fence unless there is something you specifically like/dislike about one or the other.

Thanks everyone! It's a DCT, not a manual. I do love the way it drives, but I just really love the look of the Supra. Not enough to make a switch though.

My mind is now at ease!

It's the S55 engine. It's a screamer for sure. I had the B58 in my 2018 340i ZHP. It was a great engine but it kind of ran out of steam at upper RPMs. The S55 just pulls like crazy but it sure as hell doesn't sound as good as the B58.

You just come here just to say that? What a pointless thread and waste of time for everybody on here

DEFINETELY better looking than the new M2 but I do agree it is sort of pedestrian looking compared to the Supra.

Oddly enough, I still see more Supra's than M2 Competitions.

Like I said, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to do something stupid and needed some reassurances.

As a previous owner of TWO S55 F80s.....the S55 sounds like..........to put it nicely.....ASS
Had bmthe dinan exhaust, then the M Performance exhaust , then an equal length mid pipe
Both catted and catless.....still sounded like different versions of ASS
The B58 sounds a LOT better
F87 has the wheel base and slight weight advantage over the F80, but J29 has them both beat
Zero regrets from selling my 2018 F80 for the Supra
The Supra is a NeverSell car

It comes down to what you're looking for and preference but imo Supra just looks way better and it's at least capable of keeping up
