Just wanted to check you guys experiences with how the car behaves.
Everytime I floor it in Sport (especially in auto), and I mean doing a pull for like atleast 4-6 seconds, my pops usually dissapear. When I drive slower or just do a very short acceleration I always get pops.
They come back very fast again. But sometimes it seems like the harder I push the car, the less pops I get.

Although I should add that I can still get very loud pops even if my car gets hot. Its just that especially when flooring it for a longer time, they dissapear.

Is this a form a overheating protection in the catalytic converter? I have my cat left but otherwise Im straight piped.

When you do a longer pull the cat efficiency goes up because it gets hotter leaving less unburned fuel post cat vs short pulls that leaves some unburned fuel to spotaniously ignite creating the pops.

You're using the gas instead of leaving it to detonate as an excess.
