Supra has a ton of room engine to cooling stack compared to G-series BMW 2/3/4

My G series M240i I can barely fit my hand in there, compared to my Supra where I can fit my whole arm and then some.
That is something I’ve also noticed on the Supra compared to the G-Series cars and that has to be contributed by the long front end on the Supra.

Based off the room available, mounting a good sized A2W intercooler right behind the cooling fan should not be an issue.

Agreed. I am hoping to do some bench testing of some other OEM A2W intercoolers that would fit in this space. More than likely I can figure out a kit that should solve IATs for those at stock or OEM+ power levels for much cheaper than say a whole intake manifold.

Seems like a good solution for those not wanting to swap out the entire manifold or add additional capacity for those with higher power using aftermarket manifolds + pre throttle body.

Exactly, obviously the intake manifold is the ultimate answer but not everyone wants or can pay for said answer lol

like n' Subscribed. Interested In your findings with that external A2W.
It’s good to see that you're one of the few sponsors on here who are willing to test things out for the forums and give feedback.

I appreciate that! Honestly its more so I want things that arent products and am too stubborn to just live with it....and it just so happens that other people seem to want them too lol.

I think the end goal will be to sell a kit that allows people to adapt various w2a ICs pre-throttle body. If you think about it, the OEM IC already does a decent job all things considered. And IATs drop in cool down laps pretty quickly. So that tells me the problem isnt the cooling system's ability to recover and shed heat, its the ability to extract it from the charge air. Thus basically any extra heat extraction should be enough for OEM and OEM+ power. Just depends how much you wanna spend 😂

Seems like there are options for universal/OEM A2W ICs anywhere from $40 to $600 (from the likes of plazmaman 🤤). I just need to sit diwn and figure out a testing regiment to find a cost/performance index.

Hardest part of all of this will be figuring out how to route the coolant efficiently.

Hell yeah I watched that as well. Pretty slick but i'm curious what a one off 3d printed metal exchanger would cost.
He mentioned it twice in the Video.
