Before I bought my 22, I was tracking how many were listed for sale online daily (3.0 Premiums), I'd see maybe 10-12 at any given time back in Aug/Sept. Now there's 60+, and they'll likely build up from there over the winter. Don't rely on 3rd party sites either, check inventories on your local dealer's sites (that's how I found mine), and use the increase in inventory to your advantage to stop paying over MSRP if you can. Good luck!

Nice. By this math I should buy 5 more.

Does anyone have any way to track cars in transit or anything? Coming from a Type R which was a similar shopping experience and people had developed tracking tools to basically know where every car was in every color. I'm assuming the same doesn't exist for the Supra (at least, that I've seen) so what's the best method to search for the car you want? It seems like most of the new cars are sold before they even hit the dealer lot. I'm still waiting to even see a 2022 spec'd with the red interior. I wish I could just put an order in for the car I want, as I'm fine waiting till spring. But instead it seems like I'll need to hunt for the one I want and just hope I can find one.

You mean like these...? There are 5-6 different rows full of Supras at this port... my buddy sent me this video. If there are that many supras at THIS port alone, imagine the other ports of the coast of other places... ? makes me wanna drive by the port of San Diego to see if this is true...

Yeah I would not pay over MSRP, but compared to May when I first started looking new Surpa's are still very low. There used to be hundreds in the New England area. The other big advantage is buying one in winter from a dealer where it is cold and snow. Dealers know these cars will sit until Spring or even Summer if they don't price them right.

It would benefit dealers for this inventory at port to be moved slowly and enjoy MSRP or better profits. Given the logisitics issues with trucks and shipping, thats probably the issue. Supply chain logistics delays + parts/chip shortages.
