I looked into the Porsche driving school here in bama. However, there are a lot of things I could do for 4300.00.

I've heard good things about BMW/Porsche. Porsche is very strict with classing though. I had a friend who tried to skip their intro class with ~20-25 track days of exp and was basically told no because "Barber is a technical track". So for a comp license you'd be at almost 19k after Levels 1-3. The PCA instructors I've had while driving at other orgs I've had have been great though.

BMW will let you do their licensing program if you've done either base or advanced if you get signed off. But you're at about 7.2k there.

Unfortunately a lot don't make it. Bertil Roos was good, then became Formula Racing Academy, which iirc is closed now. Bondurant was good, and now is meh under new ownership. Allen Berg and Team O’Neill I've heard decent things about.

Skip barber and another school I called also don’t let you skip. At this point it feels like they want a specific amount of money for a specific livense granted and no matter how good you are, you’ll pay that to get that certificate.

Karate, jiujitsu schools abd belt promotions work exactly the same way.

Allen Berg is on my someday list. The level of coaching combined with data is beyond anything else I’ve seen in the US.

I am gonna check them out, never heard of it before.

I truly believe being coached in to being a better driver is worth all the money.
