Hey Guys, Im back with another review this time for the Red tiger ELITE. with that name, I had high expectations lol. I upgraded from the Plus to the Elite in my Supra (also provided by RedTiger), and after real world driving, the Elite is definitely a step up from the plus especially benefitting from being 4k!

What’s in the box:
Just like the Plus, the Elite arrives well packaged with all three cameras (front, rear, cabin), wiring, memory card, and app connectivity. Everything needed for a full install is included.

Installation:
Since my car was already wired from the F17 Plus, the transition to the Elite was straightforward. The previous professional install held up perfectly, and the Elite powered on and synced without any issues. If you’re installing fresh, I’d still recommend professional installation, especially on a supra due to the BMW wiring and layout, but once installed, you're good to go! (its a bmw /s)

Video Quality (Biggest Upgrade):
This is where the Elite really stepped up their game!

The 4k camera in the front is a BIG upgrade over the Plus. Footage is noticeably sharper during both day and night drives. License plates, road signs, and fine details are easier to make out, even at higher speeds or in challenging lighting (night especially!)

The Cabin camera also looks cleaner and more detailed, with better low light performance and sharper interior footage.

The rear camera benefits tremendouly from the plus with improved clarity. While heavy tint will always affect nighttime footage, the Elite handles low light better than the Plus and produces more usable rear video overall.

Features:

  • Built-in GPS with speed and location overlay remains a huge plus.
  • WiFi + phone app makes pulling clips quick and easy for social media or insurance.
  • Parking monitor mode is still very useful for street or lot parking (hardwire kit required for continuous monitoring).

Verdict (TLDR):
the Elite’s footage simply looks more polished and higher end than the plus and I would recommend it over the plus.

Rating: 4.7/5

Here are a few clips driving through a neighborhood where a kid yells to his mom about the Supra 😂, never gets old and always makes my day.

Not a Corvette.
I wish dashcams wouldn't put 10,000,000x sharpening on. The stairstepping kills my soul. They probably do that to hide their shit quality sensors/compression.

Like wat the F is this shiat?

Right!!! It looks like damage, but I'm 99.99% it's reflections of white houses and the sharpening effect as you referred to. But for the purposes of what most people want a dash cam for (liability) I guess it's better than no or low sharpening.

I'm going to dig through my settings and if I can change the sharpening. If so, I'll post some before and after results.
